News and Events News Grand Opening “Housing Associations offer more than just houses – they are about people and communities” - David Orr, Chief Executive of the National Housing Federation. Lench's Trust don't just focus on providing great housing for those over 55 who suffer from financial hardship or social isolation. They also focus on building great communities within all 3 of their schemes. We support resident committees, who give valuable feedback to us, and suiggest improvements for the future. We also provide weekly activities across all schemes, including Bingo nights, coffee mornings, activities for those suffering from dementia and alzheimers, film evenings, casino nights and more. We offer more than just sheltered accomodation. We offer community. The grand opening for phases 2 and 3 was a huge success thanks to all those who came. Visitors who attended, including the lord mayor of Birmingham and the chief executive of the National Housing Federation, were given a tour of the new extension to our scheme at William Lench Court, and were also shown around our new head office eco building, both of which we were very excited to officially open. A grand buffet followed after the tour which had a whole range of wonderful food. The residents and guests enjoyed the day thoroughly, and we look forward to more openings in the future. A big thank you to all those who attended.
