News and Events News MacMillian Fundraiser 2019 On Friday, 27th September Residents of William Lench Court joined in the national annual fund raising campaign by holding their own Coffee Morning in support of MacMillan nurses. Cakes had been baked or donated by Residents and their family and friends as well as by the local Quinton Baker Jo that comes to sell to residents at the Scheme weekly, and by Tesco Quinton who support us throughout the year with donations and manpower at our various events. We followed our cake sale with a Grand Raffle, with all prizes having been donated over the previous few months by Residents, their friends and their families. Our star prize, won by Doreen (Resident), was a meal for two at Brindley Place Restaurant Cielo, and we also auctioned an Aston Villa Football Shirt with all proceeds going to MacMillan. Leah sold her paperback books, Kath (assisted by Peter) sold jewellery and a whole lot more, and Maureen sold her knitted animals and other decorations making an exciting and varied range of stalls to browse during the morning. We are very proud to have raised over £1,000 and thank everyone who contributed in many different ways to make this event such a resounding success.
