Starting from today (13th July) going through to next week it is possible to spot the Comet NEOWISE with the naked eye within the night sky (11pm- 4am).On the 23rd July the comet will be the as close as it can be to the earth, do not fret, when I say close I mean 64 million miles away. Close but not too close! . To spot the comet NEOWISE as previously mentioned it has be from 11pm to 4am. As the comet itself is just on the horizon, you will need a clear view without buildings obstructing your view and the direction of the comet will be about North. Therefore, for a fun night in you can spend some time observing this rare comet – if you have a pair of binoculars or a telescope even better! -As you can see above the comet is very noticeable with its long tail following behind it.
