Dear Resident(s),

Second National Lockdown

.

As you will have heard from the Prime Minister's new conference last Saturday, England will face a new period of lockdown as from Thursday 5th November initially for a period of 4 weeks.

Your safety and your welling remains our priority and we are therefore introducing a number of new measures to reflect the national guidelines issued by the government. Hopefully, with your cooperation once again, we will continue in succeeding to keep the coronavirus at bay in the coming weeks or months and by doing so protect lives and protect the NHS.

As from Thursday our 3 schemes will be closed to visitors, with the exceptions of keyworkers to support the most vulnerable residents. I would invite you to check with your Scheme Manager who does qualify as a keyworker and discuss your personal circumstances.

All visitors will be asked to sign into our track and trace system and wear a mask as a minimum precaution. The Scheme Manager may refuse entry in their scheme in exceptional circumstances.

The gym will remain open as Bobby will be able to perform regular health &and wellbeing checks on those attending.

The main message from the government remains to STAY AT HOME and we are there fore advising residents that they should not leave their schemes unless for GP or hospital appointments, or for essential shopping if they do not gave families or friends neatby to deliver such items. Should you decide that you would prefer to stay in your apartment during this period, you can request for shopping to be done by your Scheme Manager. As done previously the delivery of any shopping should be made during working hours and left in the main lobby and the resident informed of such a delivery so that they can come and collect it (or the Scheme Manager informed if you are unable to collect it).

You may be able to enjoy the grounds but residents should avoid gathering together, unless you are single and wish to create a "support bubble" with another single household.

Unfortunately the restaurant will close as from Thursday and residents who wish to have a hot meal delivered on a daily basis should let Raj know. Raj & her team did a sterling job throughout the first lockdown and they will be looking forward once again to supporting those residents who wish so in an efficient and friendly manner.

As during the first lockdown only emergency maintenance will be undertaken in the residents' apartments. However contractors may still attend the schemes for planned maintenance in communal areas or the grounds, following a thorough risk assessment by Mark Boden, Maintenance Manager.

Throughout this time the Trust's staff will still be on site to support you and ensure that your place or residence remains safe and secure. I would ask you to be patient and to help us once again to keep the virus at bay within our community; please do listen to the staff, as I can vouch that they have your wellbeing at the heart of any decision they make.
