News and Events News Founder's Day Last Friday, all of the residents and staff from all three schemes came together at William Lench Court to celebrate the Founders Day with a Commemorative Tea Party. The event had great food, drinks and company at hand, so it's fair to say that it was a memorable time for all that attended it. The Bee Gees cover band played many of the original's greats such as "Night Fever", "Jive Talkin" and "I've Gotta Get A Message To You". Tom Sorrow (one of the Trustees at Lench's Trust) kindly attended the celebration and handed out awards part way through the band's performance. He gave a certificate and a box of chocolates to the three residents that won the Neighbour of the Year Award for their kind deeds and generosity, impacting those around them and overall improving the quality of life for residents and staff. The event came to a close at 4:30pm, with those who came having thoroughly enjoyed it. With day to day life here at Lench's Trust, sometimes it's easy to forget that the trust has been around for so long (since 1526!) and in case we take it for granted, the Founder's day is a reminder to be grateful that the scheme is still thriving. Here's to many more years of Lench's Trust!
