The ‘ Friends of Lench’s Trust’ is a group of like minded individuals sharing the values and purpose of the charity and who are committed to supporting the work of the Trust to care for our older generation who are in need.
The’Friends of Lench’s Trust’ plays a vital role in the operation of the Trust in a variety of ways from being volunteers who befriend those residents who request it, through organising events to raise awareness of and funds for the charity to being a Trustee of the Trust so continuing the long tradition of good governance of Lench’s Trust. As committed supporters they engage with the Trust through regular support given in many ways from time and expertise to advocacy and donations.
For nearly 500 years Lench’s Trust has been part of the fabric of Birmingham supporting the communities in which it works. We are a forward looking charity and seek to contribute to the development of our society through encouraging the different generations to come together, share their experience and learn from each other.
We aim to interact with the local communities where our sheltered housing schemes are situated so that residents feel that they are part of local life. We, therefore, encourage local people to participate in selected social events at our sheltered housing schemes in order to foster a wider sense of community.
