Burns Night 2012

Lench’s Trust celebrated Burns Night at William Lench Court on Tuesday 24th January along with Chinese New Year, while Lench's Close celebrated this on Saturday 28th January part of their social evening.

Burns Night falls on the Scottish Poet Robert Burns' birthday.

What is Burns Night?

Burns Night is a regular date in the Scottish calendar and celebrates the life and works of their national Bard, Robert Burns.
Celebrations amongst family and friends are conducted during a Burns Supper which includes a number of traditions such as piping in the guests, the Selkirk Grace and piping in the haggis.

Residents at Lench's
Residents at Lench's Trust came together to enjoy a fabulous night of singing and dancing just shortly after a Mini Fish & Chips at William Lench Court while Residents enjoyed a baked Jacket Potatoes with various fillings at Lench's Close.

Over the 2 schemes it was full of fun, laughter and enjoyment with live singing from our very own Ciaran James who residents very much enjoyed the entertainment at their Christmas dinner. Lench's Close enjoyed very much the beautiful live Karaoke.

All residents were very pleased with the great turn out and indeed look forward to more events coming up.
